It is my pleasure to welcome Charlotte Simons to the TuTu Thin Podcast. Charlotte Simons is currently the Director of Cheerleading for the Cincinnati Bengals where she has held the position for 29 years. She manages 30 team members, referred to as Ben-Gals, also, 350 Junior Ben-Gals ages 5-18 years old, plus approximately 200 alumni Ben-Gal Cheerleaders. Charlotte books their charity appearances, company appearances, and manages all aspects of their performances, plus any NFL requirements. She also manages two coaches who assist her in coordinating the cheerleader’s practices, and game days.
Charlotte is proud of taking various teams overseas to 20 plus countries, including Iraq, with the purpose of entertaining the troops. She prides herself on helping each team member gain more inner perspective of themselves, with the objective of building their confidence for off the field success.
Charlotte is a Miami University graduate with two degrees, Office Administration, and Education. After college, she began a sales career with a Fortune 500 company, Pitney Bowes, where she retired after 35 years of dedicated service, enabling her to pursue her passion of empowering young women to be the best that they could be on and off the field full time.
Her affection of connecting with women, counseling women, and most importantly helping women grow as strong ladies, has always been her priority. She believes, “you are only as good as your weakest link”, so it has been her charge to lift all women to become their best version.
As an extension of her passion for enabling young ladies, she serves on the board of directors for of one of the oldest foundations in Cincinnati HER Cincinnati. It represents, Housing, Education, and Recovery specifically for ladies who have been victims of sex trafficking.
In her spare time, she enjoys Pilates, and spending time with her family and friends. Charlotte and her husband Dave, can also be found on the pickle ball courts around town.
