As Jesus was making His way to the home of Jairus, whose little daughter was dying, the news came that she had passed away. “Don’t trouble the Master anymore,” they said; “It’s too late!” But what message did Jesus give to Jairus in that moment of his greatest need? It wasn’t, “Don’t grieve,” or “It’s not so bad, others have it worse than you.” The platitudes of the world don’t work in our moments of greatest trouble! Instead, the Master delivered to Jairus the only message that would help him in his hour of need: “Be not afraid, only believe.” This is the message that the Master gives us in our moment of need; join us as we look at this important reminder that we can trust Christ most in the times that life is most difficult.
