Pantheon International Plc partner and co-manager of PIP Charlotte Morris speaks with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the FTSE 150 investment trust's key achievements and strategic initiatives over the past year. Morris highlighted the successful completion of approximately £197 million in share buybacks, resulting in a 4.7% uplift in NAV. She also detailed the capital allocation policy introduced on June 1st, which balances ongoing share buybacks with new investment opportunities. Additionally, Morris discussed the refinancing of Pantheon's £500 million revolving credit facility and a private placement of $150 million in loan notes, enhancing the company's liquidity. The portfolio saw a 5% increase in NAV driven by strong fundamentals, with direct investments now comprising 54% of the portfolio. Despite a challenging environment, Pantheon achieved a 20% uplift at exit across more than 400 exits, with a robust multiple of 3.2 times cost. Looking ahead, Morris is optimistic about improving investment conditions and emphasised the board's commitment to broadening the investor base through transparency and targeted marketing campaigns. "We truly believe that Pip offers an attractive, risk-adjusted return to investors," said Morris, citing a 13.5% CAGR in NAV over the past decade.
