1 Patti Truant Anderson: Polling and the Surprising Results Around What People Really Think About the Food System 24:55
Text “Do people even want to know about some of these issues? Because I think some of the meat production concerns, it's kind of like people would rather in some cases, I think some people might not really want to know all the nitty gritty. They don't want to know how the sausage is made. That poses an interesting question and challenge about how you communicate about some of these issues, when maybe there's a resistance among a subset of people who don't want to know more.” - Patti Truant Anderson This is the fourth episode in a special four-part series where we go deep into the food system with some of the brightest minds from Johns Hopkins Center for a Livable Future, an interdisciplinary center based out of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. One of the reasons that we did this series is because we're about to enter another four years with the Trump administration; and last time, as we know, the Trump administration was pretty terrible for the food system in terms of climate, public health, worker safety, and of course, for the animals. This conversation is with Patty Truant Anderson. Patty is a senior program officer at the center. Part of her work at the Center focuses on public opinion polling around the food system. These polls can inform decisions by lawmakers. The great news is we're not nearly as polarized as it might seem. There is a lot of hope in the results. Today we are looking at the 3 Scriptural ways to receive the precious Holy Spirit. The first Is by Asking, The second is by The Laying on of hands And the third is By the Sovereign outpouring of the Precious Holy Spirit. We will look at the first two today. The first scriptural way to receive the Precious Holy Spirit is By asking Luke 11:9-13 says “So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he give him a snake? Or if he asks for an egg, will he give him a scorpion? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!” --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/pastorhelenprice/support

×We welcome you to Podcast 44 of our “Winter” Basic Training in Spiritual warfare We are focusing on the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ as the 2nd weapon of our warfare. Remember 2 Corinthians 10:4 says that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds; Revelation 12:11 says And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb… Who is Jesus Christ and by the word of their testimony... We are encouraged in Romans 3:25 to have faith in the Blood of Jesus Christ. Yes we need to build our faith in the powerfulness of the blood of Jesus Christ. The singer Andre Crouch wrote a song that said “ The blood that Jesus shed for me Way back on Calvary The blood that gives me strength From day to day It will never lose its power It reaches to the highest mountain It flows to the lowest valley The blood that gives me strength From day to day It will never lose its power --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/pastorhelenprice/support…
1 Podcast 43 The Blood of Jesus Christ- Revelation 12:11 says And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, 0:58
We welcome you to Podcast 43 of our “Winter” Basic Training in Spiritual warfare. We begin to focus today on one of the most powerful weapons of our warfare, which is The Blood of Jesus Christ- Revelation 12:11 says And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. The older Saints of God would say THE BLOOD STILL WORKS!!! Isaiah 43:6 says Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified. Pleading the Blood of Jesus Christ is like a legal term. In a united States court of law, ones plead the 5th amendment saying that they have the right to not incriminate themselves. As a Christian when we PLEAD THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST, we are saying that all that Jesus shed His blood for us on Calvary's cross belongs to us and that anything contrary to that has no right to remain upon us. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/pastorhelenprice/support…

As Soldiers in God’s army we saw that we have an extensive identity package of who we are in Christ Jesus. We will now begin part 4 of our Basic Training as soldiers in God's army by covering at least 10 or more of the weapons of our warfare. 2 Corinthians 10:3-4 says For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/pastorhelenprice/support…

We welcome you to Podcast 10 of our “Spring” Basic Training in Spiritual warfare. Remember As children of God and soldiers in His army, when David was just a shepard boy, he gained a blessed assurance and a security in God. David wrote of the Lord in Psalm 27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? In Psalm 46:1 he wrote “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” Then he wrote in Psalm 91:2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust. As soldiers in God’s army, God says to us in Jeremiah 31:3 …“Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you,” so that we too may have a blessed assurance and security in the Lord our God. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/pastorhelenprice/support…
We welcome you to Podcast 9 of our “Spring” Basic Training in Spiritual warfare. Remember As children of God and soldiers in His army, God revealed His goodness, greatness and powerfulness to King David when he was just a shepard boy. David wrote of the Lord in Psalm 23, The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. Beloved remember as a soldier in God’s army that He is great, powerful and good and that He is with us. 147 words --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/pastorhelenprice/support…
We welcome you to Podcast 8 of our “Spring” Basic Training in Spiritual warfare. We continue to focus on Jesus Christ as the Great Head of the Church, our Commander in Chief of the army of the Lord. As God’s children and soldiers in His army, God wants us to remember how great and powerful He is. Jeremiah 10:6 says “Lord, there is no one like You! For You are great, and Your name is full of power” God revealed His greatness and powerfulness to King David when he was just a shepard boy tending to his sheep. 1 Samuel 17:36 says that God delivered David from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear, so that when he came to Goliath, David knew that God would also give him victory over that giant. Beloved let us remember as a child of God and as a soldier, that God is Great and powerful and that there is no one like Him. Now May God bless you & all of yours in the name of Jesus Christ. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/pastorhelenprice/support…
We welcome you to Podcast 7 of our “Spring” Basic Training in Spiritual warfare. We continue to focus on Jesus Christ as the Great Head of the Church, our Commander in Chief of the army of the Lord. As God’s children and soldiers in His army, God does not want us to worry or be anxious about anything. 1st Peter 5:7 says To cast all of our cares upon Him. Why? Because He cares for us. In Philippians 4:6 it tells us to not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, to make our [specific] requests known to God. When we do this, Philippians 4:7 says that His peace that passes all understanding, will keep and guard our hearts and minds in Jesus Christ. Remember again God does not want us to worry or be fretful about anything. No matter what it is. Now May God bless you & all of yours in the name of Jesus Christ. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/pastorhelenprice/support…
We welcome you to Podcast 6 of our “Spring” Basic Training in Spiritual warfare. In the last podcast we looked at John 3:16 and focused on the magnitude and greatness of God’s love for us in that He so loved the world that He gave the very best that He had to give which is His Precious Darling Son Jesus Christ. It is very important that we become acquainted with God’s Character and His ways. As Moses led God’s people he asked God in Exodus 33:13 to show him His ways so that He would know and understand God. In Psalm 103:7 it says, He made known his ways to Moses, but He revealed His acts, unto the children of Israel. As soldiers in God’s army God wants us to know His ways, His character and nature, His goodness, His love, kindness & His mercy so that we may go forth with confidence and trust in Him. We welcome you to Podcast 5 of our “Spring” Basic Training in Spiritual warfare. We continue to focus on Jesus Christ the Great Head of the Church, our Commander in Chief of the army of the Lord. As soldiers in God’s army, God wants us to know His character and nature and just how much He loves us. John 3:16 shows the greatness and magnitude of His love for us! KJV For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. The AMPC says For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world! Now thats a lotta love. God didn’t just love us, He sooo loves us. Yes that is a lotta love. We welcome you to Podcast 4 of our “Spring” Basic Training in Spiritual warfare. We are focusing on Jesus Christ as our Commander in Chief of the army of the Lord and as the Great Head of the Church found in Ephesians 1:19-23. In this army of the Lord, It is so very important that we become intimately acquainted with Jesus Christ as our Commander in Chief. In the United States we know that the Commander in Chief of the armed forces in America is the President at that time. Only a very few have an intimate access to him and can talk with him on a daily basis. However, we as Christians have the wonderful Divine privilege given to us by God thru His precious Son Jesus Christ to not only talk with Him 24/7 but He also encourages us to know Him intimately so that we will know too much about Him to doubt Him. Now May God bless you & all of yours in the name of Jesus Christ --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/pastorhelenprice/support…
