Paul tells us that in the end times, the last days, churches will "fall away" from some of the scriptures, setting up other doctrines, opening the door for antichrist to come into the churches

The falling away are the church groups leaving some of the scriptures and setting up doctrines to approve that which pleases men." Antichrist is a spirit that comes into churches where scripture is removed. 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
