Today on the #CreateYourEarthLife podcast, we have a guest on, Mary Bower, who shares her story of growing up in the church, faithfully walked with the Lord since a child, but she was having difficulty seeing freedom in her life. Her friends took an opportunity to share the gospel with her again, and things started to change in her life, she started to see the POWER of Jesus!

-“What did sin do? It didn’t just make it so we had a debt with God. But, it prevented intimacy with the Father.”
“When we haven’t been made new creations, there is a distance between us and God.”
-There is a difference between knowing about God and actually KNOWING God.
-What does it mean to know God?
-“Why would you continue on sinning, when you have been set free?”
-“Jesus came with freedom TODAY!”
-"Sin means, ‘To miss the mark.’”
-You need to be born of the spirit, not the flesh.
-“When we repent, when we burry this dead body in baptism.. Holy Spirit is in us now, He provided intimacy.. NOW, we have access to a new way of thinking.”
-What has Jesus saved you from? Have you repented?
-“If you have never had a time in your life where you say, ‘I am laying down my control, my life, my everything’… you can’t be born again.”
-The power in praying with a friend
-“If our sin really does weigh us down, it’s like wearing a 150 pound backpack of rocks.. and if you’re hiking a mountain and someone takes that backpack off of you.. you should probably be able to say, ‘I know when that backpack came off.’” This is what it should be like when you get saved.. you KNOW when it happens because He FREES you from sin.

-It’s Him, not us
-How do we raise kids to love the Lord
