In my 20s and 30s, I found myself trapped in a cycle of restriction and deprivation, constantly denying myself the foods I truly enjoyed. This not only consumed a significant amount of mental energy, but also fueled disordered eating habits that I still grapple with today.

However, I've come to realize that treating myself to indulgent foods is crucial for fostering trust in my body and staying attuned to my feelings and emotions around food.

Embracing treat foods has allowed me to break free from restrictive mindsets and develop a healthier relationship with eating, one that prioritizes balance, enjoyment, and overall well-being.
