Grief Is A Natural Part Of Life "For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven… A time to cry and a time to laugh. A time to grieve and a time to dance." Ecclesiastes 3:1,4 (NLT) • It’s Ok To Not Be Ok! “Job scraped his skin with a piece of broken pottery as he sat among the ashes.” Job 2:8 (NLT) “God blesses those people who grieve. They will find comfort!” Matthew 5:4 (CEV) “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.” Ephesians 4:30 (NIV) 2. God Knows Our Grief “You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.” Psalm 56:8 (NLT) “He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not. 4 Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. 5 But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.” Isaiah 53:3-5 (ESV) “Then Jesus wept.” John 11:35 (NLT) 3. Grief Isn’t Forever “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the old heaven and the old earth had disappeared… 3 I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. 4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.” Revelation 21:1,3-4 (NLT) Allow Yourself To Grieve “The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.” Psalm 34:18 (NLT) ............................
