[✐1. Adagio] Particles [にni] and [でde] (+ [をo]) with basic verbs.

“at a convenience store, to a convenience store? “
Hello, everyone. Today, we practice particles” ni”, “de” with basic Verbs.
[00:16]
Before we start, let me explain quickly about directional particles. Directional particle [にni] can be replaced by another directional particle [へ(e)]. However, [に(ni)] implies more about the destination, whereas [へ(e)] is more about the path to the destination. But even Japanese native speakers use it without really thinking about this subtle difference. At the beginner’s level, we practice with [に].
[00:50]
Now we begin with [に]( to, towards), indicating the direction or location
Repeat after me
[00:53]
1. I go to a convenient store.
2. I go to a toilet.
3. I go to work.
4. I don’t go back to my place.
5. I came to Japan.
[01:35]
Place of action particle [でde]( in, at): where an action occurs/is done.
Repeat after me
[01:42]
1. I eat at home.
2. I watch at the movie theatre.
3. I study at the library.
4. I don’t jog in the park.
5. I bought at the department store.
[02:30]
The particle [でde] (by, with) also denotes means, or tool used to perform an action.
Repeat after me
[02:39]
1. I eat with chopsticks.
2. I watch on the Netflix.
3. I go home by taxi.
4. I went by bus.
[03:14]
Choose the suitable verb to complete the sentence.
[03:19]
For example,
buy, go
· at a convenience store → buy
Ready?
