In this episode, I chat with accredited practising dietitian and advanced sports dietitian, Simone Austin.

Simone's résumé speaks for itself:

  • she is the Chief Health Officer at healthylife;
  • she has 30+ years experience working in elite sport with some of Australia’s most successful sporting teams (the Australian Men’s Cricket Team, the Hawthorn AFL Club, the Melbourne Storm NRL team, the Melbourne City A League team etc.);
  • she was the president of Sports Dietitians Australia for 5 years and is currently a Dietitians Australia board member.

On today’s episode, Simone and I utilise her 30+ years experience in sports nutrition to teach everyday athletes, like you and me, how to eat and fuel and fuel.

  • pre-workout and post-workout fuelling, when is it necessary and what to eat;
  • how to eat to maintain energy levels during and post workout;
  • hydration and how much water you should be drinking;
  • advice for athletic kids;
  • our best hacks to maintain performance during exercise as well as everyday life.
