上海港新年“首战”告捷！集装箱吞吐量连续十三年排名全球第一

Shanghai International Port Group said Shanghai Port remained the world’s busiest for the 13th straight year in 2022. Container throughput reached 47.3 million20-foot equivalent units last year, up from 47.03 million TEUs in 2021. ZhangYue tells us more.

2022年，上海港集装箱吞吐量突破4730万标箱大关，连续第十三年位居全球第一。新年首个工作日，上海各港区码头一派生机勃勃，迎来开门红。洋山深水港更是出现了13船同靠的繁忙景象。记者张乐为您带来详细报道。

At Yangshan Deepwater Port’s Shengdong International Container Terminal, employees have been loading container boxes onto COSCO Shipping’s Solar, one of the largest container ships in the world. The 400-meter vessel is capable of carrying 210,000 TEUs.

在洋山深水港的盛东国际集装箱码头，工作人员们正在将集装箱装上中远海运的“太阳”轮号，这是世界最大的集装箱船之一，长400米，可满载约21000个标箱。

“More than 6,000 containers will be loaded onto the ship by 10pm today.”

At 10am, there were 13 container vessels docked at Yangshan Deepwater Port. A port inspection officer said documentation for vessels docking can be completed online to increase efficiency.

2.FIRST FREE-ADMISSION DAY OF 2023 AT LONG MUSEUM, WEST BUND

As today is the first Tuesday of the month, it was free-admission day at the Long Museum, West Bund, and also the first time visitors could see a contemporary art exhibition in the museum’s West Building for free. Lei Shuran has the story.

龙美术馆（西岸馆）于每月第一个周二对参观者免费开放，1月3日，参观者还可以首次免费欣赏该馆西楼展厅的当代艺术展览。记者雷舒然为您带来详细报道。

The West Building is located across from the museum’s main building, its floor-to-ceiling windows let in a tremendous amount of natural light. The space was previously rented to another art gallery but was re-acquired by the Long Museum in November of last year. The exhibition currently on display in the building is contemporary【当代的】 artist Li Hongwei’s first solo show. More than 20 sculptures and other installations are displayed in the space. Some of these pieces are interactive, allowing visitors a more personal experience with the art.

西楼展厅位于博物馆主馆的对面，其落地窗的设计使得场馆光线充足。该展厅之前租给了另一家艺术馆，但在去年11月被龙美术馆收回。目前在该展厅中展出的展览是当代艺术家李鸿韦的首次个人展。场馆展出了20多件雕塑和其他装置作品。其中一些作品是互动的，让参观者对艺术有更多的个人体验。

The West Building is an exhibition space for contemporary and modern art. Li Hongwei’s exhibition in the West Wing Gallery opened on November 10th, and will run until February 19th.

3.UKRAINIAN MISSILE STRIKE KILLS 63 RUSSIAN SERVICEMEN

The Russian Defense Ministry said on Monday that Ukrainian troops fired rockets on a temporary deployment facility of the Russian army in the city of Makiivka in Donetsk, killing at least 63 servicemen. Stephen Rancourt has the story.

The RussianDefense Ministry said that Ukrainian forces fired six rockets from a HIMARSbattery. They said two of them were shot down.

The Ukrainian military on Monday claimed that their forces had indeed struck a Russian settlement in Makiivka, on Saturday. The spokesperson for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated in a regular briefing that 10 units of Russian military equipment of various types were destroyed or damaged in the attack. Russia conducted drone strikes overnight on Monday, energy infrastructure in the country’s capital, Kyiv were damaged in the attack, and parts of the city were left without power or heating. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Monday that Russia was betting on the exhaustion of Ukrainian forces but his aim was to give the Ukrainian people small victories on a daily basis, such as shooting down drones and missiles, and fixing the power grid to reduce the frequency of blackouts【停电】. Zelenskyy said he spoke with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and that they discussed new financial support for Ukraine, as well as the preparation of a Ukraine-EU summit in February.
