1.LESSON FROM ABOVE FOR STUDENTS FROM ASEAN COUNTRIES

Nearly 1,000 students from member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations talked to astronauts on China's Tiangong Space Station yesterday. Song Wenjing has the story.
正在中国空间站执行任务的神舟十四号航天员，昨天（11/2）与东盟国家的近1000名青少年进行了一场“天宫对话”。记者宋雯靖带来更多详细报道。
The main venue for the talk was in Beijing, but smaller venues were organized in Brunei, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. Students asked questions such as: can astronauts surf the Internet in space, what do they do if they get sick, how do you become an astronaut and what is the most impressive thing in space. Liu Yang shared her work experience with the students.
这场"天宫对话"在北京设主会场，在文莱、马来西亚、缅甸、菲律宾、泰国、越南等地设分会场。东盟国家青少年代表踊跃提问，大家想知道，航天员在太空中是否可以上网冲浪，万一生病了该怎么办，如何成为一名宇航员，太空中最令人印象深刻的是什么等等。刘洋与同学们分享了她的太空经历。

Each spacewalk takes a long time. It usually takes days from preliminary【初步的】 preparations to recovering physically after a spacewalk. We need to work non-stop in space for six to seven hours. So the spacewalk is a great test both physically and mentally. Fortunately, after scientific training on Earth, my colleagues and I have completed two spacewalks successfully. We are confident we will complete all ensuing【随后的】 spacewalks.
因为单次出舱活动的任务周期比较长，从最初准备到出舱完成后的恢复，需要好几天的时间，出舱期间我们在太空中要连续工作长达六七个小时，这对我们的体力和心理都是极大的考验。不过，经过地面的科学训练，我们已经圆满地完成了两次出舱活动，我们有信心也有能力完成好后续的每一次出舱任务。
In recent years, China has cooperated closely with ASEAN countries in space technology applications, communication satellites, as well as space surveying and mapping. Students said the special class aroused their passion for space exploration.
近年来，中国与东盟在空间技术应用、通信卫星、航天测绘等方面开展了密切交流合作。东盟青少年们表示，通过这次活动，开阔了眼界，对浩瀚宇宙产生了更多兴趣。

The three-member crew of the Shenzhou-14 mission are currently stationed on-board the space station and will be joined by three more astronauts in the coming months. Together they will complete the final assembly of the space station by the end of this year.
三名航天员目前正驻留在空间站上，未来几个月将有另外三名宇航员加入。他们将在今年年底前共同完成空间站的最后的组装任务。
2.QINGPU POLICE ON PATROL AHEAD OF CIIE
长三角警务一体化守护进博期间“入城口”
Qingpu District marine and traffic police officers are on patrol around the clock to check vessels and vehicles entering Shanghai, making sure everything goes smoothly during the CIIE. Zhang Yue has the story.
青浦区海事和交通警察24小时巡逻，检查进入上海的船只和车辆，全面守护进博会安全。记者张乐带来更多详细报道。
At 10am this morning, police officers at Jishui Port in Jinze Town, Qingpu were checking the registration of vessels entering Shanghai, as well as the health QR code of crew members, fire safety devices, and the ship's cargo.
上午10点，青浦区金泽镇急水港服务区，工作人员正对进港船只进行报港信息核查，过程中对于随船人员进行随申码、消防设施、运输货物等情况进行查验。

We will cross check the information of every single cargo ship entering Shanghai during the CIIE period, including the port of departure and arrival. We will require them to dock【停靠码头】 temporarily at our service area for further checks if there is something wrong with the information. They will be told to turn back if necessary.
我们在进博会期间对所有进入上海的货船进行检查，从始发港到目的港，我们通过海事的平台信息进行比对，如果不符合的，我们就要让它停靠到服务区做进一步核实，有问题的我们要劝返。
Since October 26th, Qingpu police have checked around 300 ships and vessels at Hangshen Water Channel, Changhushen Channel, and Jishui Port. 12 water inspection stations have been set up to make the process more efficient. Also in Qingpu, traffic police were conducting safety checks at the Xujing Toll Gate on the G50 Expressway. The identity of travelers and items in the vehicles need to be checked.
自10月26日以来，青浦警方在杭申线、长湖申线、急水港三个入户水域道口已检查入沪船舶300余艘。为使检查过程更加高效，共建立了12个水上检查站。同样在青浦，交通警察在G50徐泾收费口进行安全检查，查验旅客的身份和车辆中的物品。

In the past, the inspection stations were set up at provincial borders. This year, we have moved the stations to the toll gates. We will ask drivers to open the trunk to show us what's inside, and we also need to verify their identity.
结合这次落地检，原有的进博会的安保工作从省界移至收费站的出口，针对入沪的车辆和人员进行开箱检查，人员身份核实等工作。
The strict inspections are being conducted at 20 highway toll gates and 9 intersections in Qingpu. In the past week, police officers have checked nearly 45,000 vehicles and more than 70,000 people. Police said 30 items had been confiscated【没收】.
青浦区9个地面道口与20个高速收费站已采取相关措施。G50沪渝高速徐泾收费站一个多星期以来已检查车辆4.5万辆，人员7万余人，共查获各类违禁品30余件。
3.PUTIN, ERDOGAN DISCUSS GRAIN EXPORT DEAL
乌克兰40%能源基础设施遭破坏，俄土总统通电话
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Tuesday that Russia had destroyed about 40% of Ukraine's energy infrastructure, but expressed hope that the country will continue exporting electricity to Europe.
乌克兰总统泽连斯基周二（11/1）表示，俄罗斯已经摧毁了乌克兰约40%的能源基础设施，但乌克兰希望能继续向欧洲出口电力。
Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a phone conversation to discuss the suspension【暂停】 of grain exports from the Black Sea ports. Putin said he is demanding a guarantee from Ukraine, that it would NOT use the humanitarian corridor for military purposes, before he would agree to resuming【恢复】 shipments. He also noted that during the first three months of the deal, the task of prioritizing the delivery of food to the countries that need it-the-most was not fulfilled. Erdogan said that his country was determined to "serve humanity", and is committed to pressing forward with the grain deal that allowed more than 9 million tons of grain to be exported from Ukraine.
