Acentury-and-a-half-old ship was successfully lifted from the bottom of the Yangtze River early this morning. The sunken vessel was off the northeastern tip of Hengsha island. It’s the largest andbest-preserved wooden ship discovered underwater in China to date. Zhang Hong tells us more.

今天（11/21）清晨，一艘一个半世纪高龄的船只被成功地从长江底部吊起，这艘沉船位于横沙岛的东北角附近。这是中国水下考古发现的体量最大、保存最为完整的木质帆船。记者张泓带来更多详细报道。

After a slow lifting process that lasted nearly three hours, the shipladen【装载】with porcelain gradually emerged early this morning through the moon pool in the middle of a workboat named Fenli that was tailor made for the salvage operation. The ship was scooped from the riverbed with a large watertight chamber known as acaisson【沉箱】, which was made from 22 giant arched steelbeams【横梁】. The caisson measures 48 meters long, 19 meters wide, 9 meters tall and weighs 8,800 tons. It was specifically built for thissalvage【打捞】 operation to preserve the ship and contents within it as much as possible.

今天清晨，经过近三个小时的水下持续提升后，满载瓷器的古船缓慢穿过专用打捞工程船“奋力轮”的中部月池，露出水面。古船是用大型水下密封沉箱从河床中框出来的，22根巨型弧形梁组成的沉箱长48米，宽19米，高9米，重8800吨，是专门为此次打捞行动而建造的，以尽可能地保护古船和其中的文物。

A protective sheet was used to cover the ship from light, ultraviolet rays and humidity. A pair of tugboats are towing the Fenli archeological recovery barge to Dock 1 at the old Shanghai Shipyard in Yangpu District. It will take a few days. A 3,670-square-meter temporary shed will be erected so archeologists can study the ship, which is about 38 meters long and 10 meters wide. During trial salvage efforts, porcelain was found in several of the ship’s cabins. The porcelain was later confirmed to be from Jingdezhen, Jiangxi province. Known as Yangtze River Estuary No.2, the merchant vessel was discovered in 2015, 5.5 meters below the seabed. It’s the largest and best-kept shipwreck found in China to date. It dates back to the reign of Emperor Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty.

Travelers arriving in Shanghai must take anucleic【核的】acid test upon arrival followed by a test each of the next two days, according to the Shanghai Health Commission. Train passengers are able to get a PCR test quickly before leaving Hongqiao Railway Station. Lei Shuran has more.

根据上海市卫生健康委员会的规定，返沪人员必须在抵沪时进行核酸检测，并完成两天两检。同时，乘客在离开虹桥火车站之前也能够迅速进行核酸检测。记者雷舒然带来更多报道。

In the afternoon, a high-speed train arrived from Xi’an. Hundreds of passengers scanned the venue code. Check points were set up at six exits at the station.

Passengers who are going to the bus station can get a PCR test on the first floor of West Traffic Plaza, where there are 14 PCR sample collection kiosks.

前往地面车站搭乘公交车的旅客，还可以在一楼的西交通广场核酸点采样，那里也有14个采样亭提供不间断服务。

3.UKRAINE, RUSSIA BLAME EACH OTHER FOR SHELLING NUCLEAR POWER PLANT

俄乌互指对方炮击扎波罗热核电站

The Russian Defense Ministry claims that Ukrainian troops shelled the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant twice on Sunday, with one shell landing on the roof of one of the facility’s buildings. The ministry also claimed two shells hit near the power lines that supply the plant.

俄罗斯国防部表示，乌克兰军队周日（当地时间11/20）两次炮击扎波罗热核电站，其中一发炮弹落在核电站一座建筑的屋顶上，两枚炮弹落到了为电厂供电的电线附近。

The International Atomic Energy Agency said powerful explosions shook Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region on Sunday morning, calling for "urgent measures to help prevent a nuclear accident" at the Russian-occupied facility. However, Ukraine says that Russian forces hit infrastructure facilities of the nuclear power plant 12 times, causing damage to its infrastructure.
