In this episode of Off The Charts Business, guest Andy Guttormsen shares insights into building successful communities for businesses.
He discusses the advantages of smaller communities, examples of clients moving off social media, and tips on nurturing new and long-term members.
Surprisingly, smaller communities were found to be more successful, and building a community can start in just a few weeks.
Tune in to hear more valuable tips and inspiring success stories in the world of community building.
The Power of Community
1. Smaller communities deliver more value: Smaller communities allow for more personal connections, deeper engagement, and tighter-knit relationships among members, which can lead to more meaningful interactions and outcomes.
"A lot of people think bigger is better. If you look at the communities that were very well respected and beloved... A lot of times, the smaller, the better."
2. Finding the right pricing strategy: The value proposition and signature offerings of a community should help determine the appropriate pricing. Communities can come in various price points depending on the value they offer and the type of customer they serve.
3. The power of human touch: Even as automation plays a role in community management, the genuine human connections, friendships, and private discussions that occur behind the scenes can be as valuable as public engagement, shaping and sustaining the community over time.
