Have you ever reacted to a situation without thinking? That’s your subconscious at play. It makes roughly 90% of our daily decisions. After being attacked by two men in a parking lot in 2019, I found myself responding to objectively safe situations as if I was in danger. I became fascinated with the subconscious mind and its role in determining our behavior — before we even choose it. It was at that time that I also discovered hypnotherapy, a form of therapy that talks to the subconscious in a highly suggestible state. After trying hypnosis, I found it to be a remarkable way to support the dramatic change we want in our life but too often resist.
In this episode, I'm joined by hypnotherapist Christine Woods to discuss the modality, how it works, and how she's helping high-functioning individuals overcome undermining behavior patterns.
