We are chatting with Jeff Dalto and co-host Gary Wong discussing “Safety Success Stories” today on our Meet the Author.

Our session focused on talking about the safety guide that Jeff Dalto complied with 37 other safety professionals to share EHS Professional success stories. It's a great tool to help everyone learn from other people's successes.

Then we started to look at the various patterns and themes Jeff and Gary noticed were emerging from the various stories. This is an awesome booklet with a compilation of success stories across the globe. These are real stories of real success implemented in real organizations by real people. Jeff shared the following key takeaways:

• Start small,
• Don't forget to learn about and build on successes (and don't spend all your time studying and trying to correct failures/problems),
• The importance of communication (asking questions, changing the words you use, etc.), and
• Be humble and be prepared for the possibility that your ideas may not have worked out as well as you had hoped
