Ahoy, surfers and beachgoers! Get ready for some gnarly waves and high excitement with the latest surf zone forecast for the California coast!
Starting off with Malibu Coast and Los Angeles County Beaches, we're looking at a moderate rip current risk this afternoon through Sunday. Surf heights are expected to be between 2 to 4 feet, with a mix of west and south swell rolling in. So watch out for those currents and enjoy the waves! Water temperatures ranging from 52 to 60 degrees. On Monday, the rip current risk will increase to high with surf heights of 3 to 5 feet from a west swell.
Moving on to Ventura County Beaches, the rip current risk is high from this afternoon through Sunday. Surf heights are predicted to be between 3 to 6 feet, with a solid west swell on the horizon. Water temperatures ranging from 58 to 62 degrees. So, be cautious out there in the water and have a blast catching those waves! On Monday, expect more of the same with high rip current risk and surf heights of 3 to 6 feet.
For Santa Barbara County and Southwestern Coast and Southeastern Coast, we're looking at a moderate rip current risk this afternoon through Sunday. Surf heights will be around 2 to 4 feet with a west swell coming through. Water temperatures around 55 degrees. So, keep an eye out for those currents and enjoy the waves! On Monday, the rip current risk remains moderate with surf heights of 2 to 4 feet from a west swell.
Lastly, for San Luis Obispo County Beaches and Santa Barbara Central Coast Beaches, we're in for some bigger waves! Surf heights ranging from 5 to 8 feet this afternoon through Sunday, increasing to 8 to 12 feet on Monday. Make sure to be prepared for the larger swell and have a blast out there! Water temperatures between 53 to 55 degrees.
