However, what was supposed to be an exhilarating day in the water quickly took a turn. From the moment they arrived, they were met with harassment and heckling from the locals, culminating in a dangerous encounter where Cory was run over while surfing.

Cory, who has been surfing since the age of 10, is a strong advocate for proper surf etiquette and respecting the unspoken rules of the lineup. He wasn't looking to cause trouble that day – just to catch a few waves during a solid swell. His experience sheds light on the issue of localism and its impact on surfers trying to enjoy the ocean.
