Today's episode is finally here! Our second part of our conversation with Musical composer & arranger, Kristina A. Bishoff.
Kristina "composed and produced the original book soundtrack to the New York Times Best Selling Series, Green Rider, by Kristen Britain. This idea expanded into the Green Rider Book Soundtrack & Art Book project, which raised almost $100,000 through the combined efforts of crowdfunding and eBay bidding. The Green Rider fans rallied around the idea of music for their favorite series and we expanded the project to include artwork, accessories, cosplays, events, and other unique items that brought this beloved fantasy world to life."
Kristina graduated from BYU earning a B.A. in Commercial Music. She was the youngest of six students accepted into the Utah Valley University's Film Scoring Internship. There, she observed the music process for huge blockbuster films and received life-changing insight and advice from prolific composers Hans Zimmer, James Newton Howard, and Chris P. Bacon. Kristina also wrote music for another book soundtrack, Kaladin, a book soundtrack that raised over $100,000 on Kickstarter to create music inspired by Brandon Sanderson's famous novel The Way of Kings. She has also written music for Salt Lake Pops, Pretty Darn Funny web-series, commercials for businesses, and alternative pop artists including Robyn Cage (under the alias of Kristin Royal).
