With the announcement of gyms reopening on Saturday 13th of June i thought it would be a great time to sit down with Lewis and get some insight on how The Cube Gym adapted to the changes during the covid-19 restrictions.
Lewis shares his story on where it all started and how the name The Cube Gym was born. We also talk about the importance of creating a strong community within the gym but also building that community outside the gym with social events, team events, and showing/providing ongoing support. Which has been even more important during these challenging times and has definitely played a positive roll that will get the gym back bigger and better than ever.

This weeks guest is the boy from the country James Mortimer. At a young age the Mortimer family moved to the country town of Orange to start a vineyard which is still going today. It just won the best shiraz of 2020. James is one of 5 boys and country life was ideal for him and his brothers growing up playing rugby, working on the family farm, playing music and just having fun. After finishing school he found himself back in the city life playing rugby league for Manly and then later on player/coach for Belrose. This weeks guest Jimmy Martin also known as a rev-head (car and motorcycle enthusiast). Jimmy was born in Ireland 🇮🇪 but at 4 years of age Jimmy and his family ventured over to Australia. This weeks guest is Jason Miller. In October 2018 Jason was experiencing a sore throat and flu-like symptoms so like anyone else he went to see his doctor to get a doctors medical certificate and thought that would be the end of it. However, 7 days later to everyones surprise he was waking up in hospital after being in an induced coma. Jason had developed Sepsis which is a life-threatening condition that arises when the body's response to infection causes injury to its own tissues and organs. Jason suffered irreparable tissue damage to his hands and feet due to the sepsis and would then later have to go in surgery to have his hands and feet amputated. Jason is an inspiring individual with a positive outlook on life. I enjoyed sitting down with Jason Miller and appreciate him sharing his story. Welcome to series two of Have a Chat. Today’s guest Reid Froggatt from @paladinsports_aus Reid has been described as one of the nicest, funniest and one of the most inspirational blocked so was very excited to have a chat and hear his story. Reid is an owner and also founder of the global brand Paladin sports, He also runs a women’s fashion footwear company with his brother. Reid had his first experience in business at an early age working in the family business. He finds it very rewarding working with communities and has spent a lot of time doing volunteering work Overseas. Family is a very important to Reid and he shares some moments that have been very challenging and emotional with he’s wife being in a very serious car accident on the Northern Beaches and his daughter being diagnosed with Leukaemia cancer. Reid loves his Rugby League especially Manly Sea Eagles and ocean swims most mornings with a group of mates. This is a must listen podcast.
