Although most of my patients eat animal protein, over the years, I've also worked with many vegans and vegetarians, and the truth is that it can be more challenging to restore your health as a vegetarian or vegan. The good news is that regardless of your reasons for choosing a diet that avoids animal products, you can still save your thyroid if you pay attention to a few key areas.
