Leaving Frannie and all domestic concerns in the dust, we jet away with Carrie, Saul, and the gang to Russia for an unpleasant meeting. President Keane also has an unpleasant meeting. And Paley keeps stirring the pot.
Is this really the penultimate episode?? Doesn’t feel like it quite yet!

Look. We know this is absurd. The finale has already aired and we are just now putting out a one hour podcast on episodes 1-11. But we’re in a pandemic, people!! There are no rules!! In this episode, we zip through and give our hot takes on all of the major characters and story lines of Homeland season 8. We also give our predictions about what will happen in the finale and ask listeners to write in one last time! Later this week, we will release another episode breaking down the finale and reviewing listener feedback! We are so happy to be back!…
Hello everyone! Long time no see! We’re excited to say that we’ve decided to take one last swim in the world of Carrie, Saul, and the insanity that is Homeland in two special podcasts that will be released this week!
WOW. What a finale! Due to the volume of listener feedback, we will expand our normal format and record two episodes for the finale of season 12. In this episode (Part 1), we work through the plot and discuss our love of The Wig, our conflicted feelings about the Saul, and the interesting redemption of President Keane. We also revel in the demise of Janet and are *delighted* that Brett O’Keefe didn’t make a return appearance! Join us as we discuss the plot of the season 7 finale, ‘Paean to the People’. We will record Part 2 of the finale podcast in a few days, so please get in any final feedback for the season to homelandpodcast@gmail.com!…

We are back! We’re late! Again! The world is run by a Russian undercover ring that is preventing us from getting podcast episodes out on time this season! In this episode, we discuss all of the types of “Clarity” that each character considers in many different circumstances. Carrie has clarity about what is best for Frannie, Keane has clarity about the people around her, and Saul has clarity about his co-dependent (and dysfunctional) relationship with Carrie. So much clarity, so little time…join us as we discuss the 10th episode of season 7, “Clarity”. We are sorry for our tardiness this week and still look forward to including your feedback. Email us at homelandpodcast@gmail.com to hear your comments discussed on the show!…
This episode is a long one with a LOT of listener feedback! If you want to skip straight to the coverage of Episode 9, skip ahead to 42:40. Useful Idiot sees Frannie’s life once again in danger while the Russian plot heats up through a handful of stressful phone conversations for Yevgeny. Dante goes from the dark side to the light side to the eternally dark side… or does he? And Carrie has a historic Carrie breakdown!…
Carrie works her magic with Dante, Maggie steps it up for the love of Frannie, Saul is prevented from being great by Wellington, and Simone has a funny Russian valentine. What an excellent mess! Join us as we discuss the 8th episode of season 7, ‘Lights, Amplifiers, F**king Twitter’. Note: Our next episode will have a double dose of listener feedback! Be sure to send your comments to homelandpodcast@gmail.com.…
We’re alive! And we come to you as a desperately apologetic Carrie comes home to a terrified Frannie. There’s a lot to talk about in this episode: are Keane and Wellington in…. love? Are Max and Saul the spy duo we’ve needed all along? Are the Homeland writers trying to torture us with that final Carrie/Dante scene?…
A TWIST!!!!! Wow! Saul comes back into Carrie’s life like a wrecking ball revealing a new angle on Dante’s motives. Saul implores her to lay low because of all the Russian spy stuff that she could mess up even further than she already has… but does she? LOL NO.
CARRIE MATHISON IS ASSEMBLING A TEAM and this gang of outside-the-loss misfits takes matters into their own hands this week while they investigate the death of McClendon. Meanwhile, Keane is back on her bullshit when she manipulates a newly widowed woman into starring in a staged PR spectacle. Also: Saul visits an old friend at Snake (or is it Fish) River.…
This episode definitely brought the action! The Deliverance shack is no more and the Silky Pelt is pissed! Anything that takes us closer to the end of O’Keefe is a good thing…so we think we are ok with it? Dante is feeling more and more like a dangerous enabler every minute, and Wellington is a slick mofo. Join us as we discuss the fourth episode of Season 7, Like Bad at Things. Send us your feedback at homelandpodcast@gmail.com . Also, please rate and subscribe on iTunes!…
The troops are assembling behind their horrible king Brett O’Keefe and Saul is caught in the crosshairs! Carrie takes three steps forward and then 4 steps back in dealing with her mental health but at least she has a cute new guy who’s down to clown! And Wellington is wilding out behind Keane’s back.…
We’re back to discuss the second episode of season 7! We apologize for the delay–Jill was in prison and we had to be sure that she didn’t meet the same fate as McClendon. Just kidding! Join us as we reserve a room in the backwoods House of Deliverance and watch O’Keefe posture for position, experience the liberation of the Silky Pelt, and watch our girl Carrie successfully audition for an MMA fight. We also loved hearing from the Homeland Insecurity crew in the listener feedback! Keep listening to hear our take on ‘Rebel Rebel’. Send listener feedback to homelandinsecurity@gmail.com , and please rate and subscribe on iTunes!…
And we’re back!!! It’s been over a year since we’ve had our dose of Carrie Mathison but we’re ready to OD! Please bear with us while we dust off the podcasting cobwebs and get back into the groove as we discuss this season 7 premiere episode. So what happened? Carrie is still losing friends and alienating people. Keane is still on a warpath. Saul is still in prison. And McClendon…. well…. his status changes a bit.…
Today we gather to celebrate the tragic, short, superhuman life of Peter Quinn aka John aka a million other things. What an awesome character, we’ll miss him so much! In this extra extra extra long episode, we talk through the proceedings of the season finale “America First” and make our predictions for next season. Then we go through a TON of listener feedback at the end. Thanks so much for listening this season!…
Hi Homeland Insecurity family! We will record one final episode for this season that will cover both the season 6 finale and a general season 6 wrap-up. Please send in any additional feedback by Friday, April 14 at 8pm ET to homelandpodcast@gmail.com if you would like to be included in the show!
We are in the final stretch! This episode brought us closer to Dar’s demise (or is he a good guy after all?!), Saul’s redemption and a reunited Carrie/Quin partnership. Keane showed what she is made of and Max endured the Homeland requisite weekly kidnapping. Join us as we discuss ‘R is for Romeo’! Email us feedback at homelandpodcast@gmail.com…
**4/6 – Fixed the track! Thank you so much to everyone who told us we were missing the last few minutes!** There is so much to talk about in this episode that we had to make an extra long show and STILL didn’t cover everything! All pieces seem to be coming together though, with evil mastermind Dar Adal in the dead center. We talk about Saul’s short-lived escape plan and Quinn finding himself in familiar territory. We also argue about the intentions of Carrie’s CPS case worker for far too long and make predictions in Death Watch 2017.…
We are taking up a collection to be sure that Quin has all of the supplies he needs to take out Dar before the season ends. We cannot take another season of Evil Dar! Join our discussion as we share Carrie’s hope for reconciliation with Frannie, share in the ups and downs of the Silky Pelt (TM), follow Max as he re-enters the workforce and try to navigate the confusing mind of the President Elect. Let’s discuss the excellent episode ‘Sock Puppets’.…
Another Homeland hero, lost to the raging malice of this season’s overwhelming villain, Dar Adal. We chat about the tragically bref reunion between Astrid and Quinn as well as the development (or lack thereof) in Carrie’s child services case. And then, of course, the gang of Carrie and Saul is back together only to be momentarily crushed under the bureaucratic sledgehammer of evil Dar.…
This episode had us on the edge of our seats! Between Quinn and Frannie’s new addresses, our visitor from a previous season and Carrie’s personal decisions we had a hard time deciding who had the worst day this week. So, is Dar the evil mastermind that we think he is? Join us as we discuss the seventh episode of season 6, ‘Imminent Risk’. *Please send in your comments at homelandpodcast@gmail.com and rate and subscribe on iTunes*…
LEAVE. QUINN. ALONE!!!!!! Why can’t we go 60 minutes without some outrageous human rights abuses being visited upon this poor man??? Also – how many times must poor Saul’s heart break here?!? He doesn’t have a friend in the world! We also talk about two short-lived partnerships: Carrie/Conlin and Keane/that lady whose name we didn’t bother to learn.…
We need Quinn to get a WIN this season! Bless him (and the ginger child) during the faux hostage situation…should we start a #FreeQuinn movement so he doesn’t spend the rest of the season behind bars?! We also need for Saul to realize that Dar is NOT his friend. We are over the President Elect. We are waiting for Carrie and Silky Pelt to reunite. Also, we love this show!…
Boom! Join us as we discuss Carrie’s entanglement in various government bodies and Saul’s no-good, very-bad trip to the West Bank (and, honestly, life?) We also discuss whether Quinn’s investigation is crazy, brilliant, or crazy-brilliant and begin to puzzle over who is behind what happened to Sekou (we hardly knew ye’).…
Things are heating up! This week we join Saul as he seeks to gain clarity on a potential parallel nuclear plot, watch Carrie fight to correct a wrong, get bored with Dar and continue the trail of devastation that is Quinn’s life. We are also decidedly NOT here for the developing girlmance between the President Elect and Miss Mathison. Join us as we discuss ‘The Covenant’.…
Guess who’s back?!? MAX! What has he been up to??? We talk about Carrie using and abusing Max’s services and the increasingly complicated case around Sekou’s rights to free speech. We also discuss Mean Girls Dar and Saul before puzzling over that final scene with sweet Quinn and Carrie. (Why? Why!!!??! Why!?!?!?!?!?!?!)…
Homeland is back! In this final season we find ourselves in the USA with new players joining our old faithful crew. Quinn is in a desperate space, Carrie is fighting to carve out a life away from the CIA, and Saul and Dar are back to their forbidden are-we-friends-or-enemies dance. We also meet the Bah family caught up in a complicated web, and a president-elect with an interesting backstory. Join us as we kick off the new season, and send in your feedback at homelandpodcast@gmail.com to join in the conversation as we discuss “Fair Game”.…
*UPDATED MEDIA FILE* Aaaaand it’s a wrap for Season 5! The finale episode was packed full of action, intensity, sadness and a possible end to one of the most beloved members of the cast. Say it ain’t so! Join us and our amazing Homeland Insecurity family as we discuss the finale of Season 5, “A False Glimmer”. See you next season! NOTE: We will release an short episode announcing our off-season podcasting plans!…
There is a LOT going on in Season 5’s penultimate episode. Allison is still trying to pull the wool over the daft eyes of the CIA’s top guys. Laura has gone rogue and somehow managed to become EVEN MORE ANNOYING in the process. The terrorist crew proceeded with their plans for a sarin attack in Berlin while sweet Qasim struggled with his conscious. Quinn puked up tar and Carrie somehow manages to be the most stable person in the lot!…
