We live in a world that is filled with criticism, condemnation, and judgment. From politics, to religion and social ideals we seem to be living in a “war of the words”.
If we get triggered, defensive and angry at people for not living the way that we want them to (or if we lash out at people for judging us) are we not becoming just like them? Brene Brown has often said that empathy is the cure for shame. I truly believe what the world needs now more than ever is compassion, self-compassion and empathy.
