Together with Dr Sapan, Luis Monteagudo John Doran and your host, Patricia Friberg we explore examples and the science behind celebrating wins of 2023 and wishes of 2024. It is so easy for us as human beings to look at “what is next” rather than staying in the moment to celebrate the good things or wins, no matter how big or small. In this episode, you will learn the science behind the importance of celebrating successes and we will explore our wishes for 2024 through cultivating hope. This feel-good episode will kick off your celebration, leaving you hopeful for 2024. In this episode, you will learn these “totally rad” tips:

  • How celebrating wins can help decrease symptoms of depression over long periods. ▪️
  • How practicing the “three good things” exercise can shift your brain so that you begin to notice good things on subsequent days.
  • How when you acknowledge and celebrate your wins, it releases happy hormones that can put you into a peak state. Peak experiences can help broaden your perspective to see all that is possible.
  • How hope is similar to self-efficacy in that you know you have the belief that you are capable, which gives you agency to accomplish the goal.
