Hi everyone, welcome to the podcast series “Proctology and Laparoscopic Surgery”. In today’s podcast, Dr. Manas Ranjan Tripathy is going to talk about a few pertinent points about a very common disease, “Anal Fissures”. Anal Fissures are cuts or tears in the anal opening, which usually occur at the junction of the outer skin and inner membrane of the anal canal. Sometimes these cuts can become deep enough to form an ulcer at the anal opening exposing the underlying muscle tissue.
