Soft Tissue Treatment Revolution with Dr. Matt Maggio

I am back at it for my very first episode of 2022 and I took some to reflect on some lessons learned last year when writing my first published article in the Massage Therapy space.

I know technically I am an "outsider" in the profession but have been outspoken on the superiority of quality hands-on soft tissue treatments being delivered to those injured and in pain, so they can avoid pain pills, injections, and surgeries which only make things worse.

My goal has been to completely change the conservative care model, which is subpar at best, and make soft tissue specialists the primary go-to practitioner out there to help fix injuries naturally.

I know the best equipped to provide that are massage therapists because they have the best touch and feel to deliver world-class soft tissue treatments.

During my research process, I began to see how jacked up the profession really is. Starting with getting shutdown right away when COVID hit, being called "non-essential," looked at as "inferior" to Chiropractors and PTs and working way too hard for not enough pay.

The goal of the article was to motivate massage therapists, shed light on how important they really are to solve the pain pill epidemic, and how soft tissue was superior to other treatments...

I did write that article, but unfortunately, the real meaning behind it was changed and altered, leading me to be frustrated. I started to see all the things/people/stigmas about massage therapy holding the profession back and wanted to share those thoughts in this episode.
