When the Fall arrives the Interrupted Outdoors kicks into high gear. There are many household names like the White Marlin Open but a fishing Tournament that is quickly becoming a mainstay here on the shore and garnering a ton of attention is the Tangier Classic. The Tangier Classic is in its fourth year and is continuing to explode in popularity with Anglers. The multi-species Chesapeake Bay fishing tournament is one of the finest there is and is scheduled for September 23-25, 2022. Whether you are an angler or just someone looking for a great family friendly activity, be sure to make your way to Crisfield, Maryland on this third week of September.

I welcome my friends Brad Taylor and Adam Corry who are part of the team that put this event on every year. They tell us how the tournament came to be and how any person of an age and any experience level can get registered for the event and find success on the water. The guys also share about how this year the tournament is raising money for a precious little girl who has been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. Lakelyn Draheim is a true warrior with a family that is fighting right alongside of her as she battles DIPG Grade 4 with H3K27M mutation.
