Everyone confessing faith in Jesus Christ needs the Holy Spirit, who is the Spirit of God and of whom is the evidence of our faith, as our keeper and guarantee for redemption.
Paul expresses in the letter written to the Corinthians, warning about the carnality of men’s wisdom exhorting by which it is impossible to understand the things of God, because they are spiritually discerned.
Apostle John emphasizes the need to be born again of the Spirit of God, a transformation of the heart upon hearing the voice of God, inspired in the word of truth, having sent his Son Jesus Christ to die for the sin of the world.
Moreover, Paul writes to the Ephesians providing greater insights about God’s Grace and the results of accepting Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. He expounds, our belief is manifested or becomes more than a mouth saying by trusting the word of truth. He explains further, upon hearing and believing and trusting, the Holy Spirit seals every believer. Metaphorically, being marked or stamped with an impression of authentication of ‘Debt Paid’ by the blood of Jesus Christ, and being kept by Grace under the power of God unto the day of redemption.
Biblical Principles |
The Holy Spirit our Seal keeping every believer, as a precious prized possession belonging to God, is our guarantee of inheriting the promise of salvation at the day of redemption.
Ephesians 1:13-14 | In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
