Ep 6: Depression with Desiree Sanchez-Rainey
Manage episode 399986363 series 3537416
Life is a beautiful symphony, isn't it? Sometimes, though, it seems like the music takes on a softer, more melancholic tone, as if conducted by a slow-moving, somber maestro.
Join Mike, Helena and mental health Expert-in-residence Desiree Sanchez-Rainey, MSW as they dive into a topic close to many hearts: Depression.
We'll explore the turbulent waters of "hopelessness" and tackle the challenge of asking those important yet sometimes tough questions like, "Hey, I've noticed you seem a bit different lately—everything alright?"
Desiree Sanchez-Rainey, MSW is currently a Crisis Responder at the Veterans and Military Crisis Line as an employee of the Veterans Health Administration. Previously, Desiree worked in many facets of the child welfare system where her goal was to prevent removal of children from families and reunite families that had experienced child removal. As a social worker, Desiree has assisted many different populations in accessing mental health services to address their needs. Desiree lives in Seattle, WA with her husband and two beautiful sons.
