Having lived through a pre-Roe era in the 70s, it’s very disheartening to see how much women’s rights have been rolled back in the last few years. It’s devastating to see all the hard work of advocates be undone.
It’s okay for us to have different beliefs, but it’s not okay to create legislation based on your personal beliefs. You can be pro life, but that is your choice. All women should have a choice.
Surround yourself with people who are open minded enough to have difficult conversations. We don’t have to only be friends with people who vote like us, but we do need to be able to approach these tough topics with compassion and mutual respect.
