Jerry Tritle, from his book The Last Days Are Behind Us, Our Best Days Are Ahead, summarizes an interpretation from Daniel 9 to present Daniel's most notable prophecy as speaking about the time remaining for Old Covenant Israel. The 70 7-year cycles begin in 457 B.C. and end with the Destruction of Jerusalem and its Temple in A.D. 70 signifying that the Last Days, the Great Tribulation, the coming of the Lord in judgment upon Jerusalem, and the end of the Old Covenant Age were all completed by A.D. 70 in the first century.
