Steve Ward joins me today to discuss alcoholism, recovery, and faith. As a result of his recovery and what he learned along the way, Mr. Ward founded STEPS Ministry, a nonprofit intended to help spread the information taught for recovery in a more preventative way.
We start the episode off with Mr. Ward's backstory and struggle with alcohol, which leads us into a conversation on functional alcoholics. I discuss how that can look for some people, and how it can impact our ability to serve God.
From there, we transition into what got Steve Ward into recovery and what led to the creation of STEPS Ministry. We break down what the letters in the STEPS acronym stand for and what else can be found within the nonprofit.
