This beautiful piece of advice originated from a Buddhist Koan, and can be applied to all situations in our lives, whether that be around our desires and wantings, our yoga practice, our relationships, holding it lightly is possibly the best piece of advice I can give. I use it frequently with clients, friends and family and remind myself to do this as well! When we remember that the impermanence of life will give us both the good and the bad it helps to hold it all lightly so that we can surf the waves of life with ease, without resistance and find acceptance.
