Bob Burg shares information on topics vital to the success of today’s businessperson. He speaks for corporations and associations internationally, including fortune 500 companies, franchises, and numerous direct sales organizations.

Bob regularly addresses audiences ranging in size from 50 to 16,000 — sharing the platform with notables including today’s top thought leaders, broadcast personalities, Olympic athletes and political leaders including a former United States President.

Although for years he was best known for his book Endless Referrals, over the past few years it’s his business parable, The Go-Giver (coauthored with John David Mann) that has captured the imagination of his readers.

The Go-Giver, a The Wall Street Journal and BusinessWeek Bestseller, has sold over 500,000 copies. Since its release it has consistently stayed in the top 25 on 800ceoread’s Business Book Bestsellers List. It has been translated into 21 languages and is Bob’s fourth book to sell over 250,000 copies.

Bob is an advocate, supporter and defender of the Free Enterprise system, believing that the amount of money one makes is directly proportional to how many people they serve.

He is also an unapologetic animal fanatic and serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of Furry Friends Adoption and Clinic in Jupiter, Florida.

Key Points:

-Bob's greatest transformation occurred in his mid to late 30's. Even though he had business success, he was unsatisfied with himself. He felt he was missing an ingredient. -One of his mentors, Charlie "Tremendous" Jones suggested a book to Bob and in the book were principles by Benjamin Franklin in the form of a 13-week course repeated 4 times = one year. Bob went through the course and this helped him to transform and adopt the traits that Benjamin Franklin taught. -There are certain traits we have to work on in order to become successful. -Bob had a lack of gratitude and didn't see things in a positive way. He gossiped and talk bad about others. -His parents were the opposite and were examples of what The Go-Giver preaches. -An older gentleman where Bob worked in sales suggested to Bob that he target serving others and not on the money. This was another key transformation.

"Great leadership is never about the leader. Who is it about? It's everyone whose lives you want to add value to." -Bob Burg

3 Tips:

*Desire is a given and everything starts with it. 1. Seek out and find the information (you need to succeed). -Follow the system that was created by other successful people. 2. Apply the information and what you learned immediately. -Take massive action! 3. Be persistent -Outlast the "No's." -Have an attitude of "going for no's." *Have absolute belief in yourself.
