I had the absolute honor of getting to speak at a church's women's retreat this last October! I can’t even begin to express how humbled I was to be asked to do this and how sweet it was to partner with the Lord on this. This is the SECOND session of two that I got to teach on the topic of Christian friendship. If you haven't listened to the first session, Episode 44, I highly recommend listening to that one first!
Praying these two talks are helpful, encouraging and edifying as you navigate the call of a Christian, specifically in friendships. ENJOY!

Discussion Questions:
- In what areas of your life do you find yourself striving instead of abiding in Jesus? Be specific.
- How have you seen your unbelief in the gospel (sin) affect your friendships or pursuit of friendships? Be specific.
- Regarding the question above - what is the specific gospel truth that combats your unbelief? (Ask your table for help if it is hard to pinpoint! This is why we have community!)
- Of the 8 practical ways listed at the end of the talk, which do you struggle with the most to do and which do you find the easiest to do in your friendships? (pursue people & ask questions, not surprised by sin, assume the best/take your thoughts captive, keep no record of wrongs, resist the urge to withdraw, humble yourself/offer yourself as a living sacrifice, withhold no good words, rejoice in and enjoy friendship)
- What is one practical way you can lay down your life for a friend and/or pursue a friendship this week? Be specific. Write this down. Ask someone to hold you accountable.
- What is a practical way you can abide in the Lord this upcoming week? Ask the table to hold you accountable.

- Pray that God would show you where you are striving or white knuckling, and that He would lead you into abiding in Him.
- Ask God to show you any areas of unbelief in the gospel.
- Pray for deep gospel-centered friendships to continue to be formed at your church and in your life.
